Organize your Models (Library)

The Model Library helps you manage and reuse extraction and analysis models across clients and engagements.

Accessing the Library

Navigate to Models in the sidebar, or access client-specific models from within a client's workspace.

What You'll See

My ModelsModels you created (PRIVATE visibility)
Client ModelsModels shared with a specific client team
Cabinet ModelsModels shared firm-wide (set by Admin)

Visibility Levels

Models have different visibility levels that control who can see and use them:

VisibilityWho Can SeeWho Can EditBest For
PRIVATEOnly youOnly youWork in progress, personal templates
CLIENTAll users with client accessOwner or AdminClient-specific models
COMPANYAll users in your firmOwner or AdminStandard models used across clients
PUBLICEveryone (Moby-provided)Moby onlyReference templates
Admin privileges

Only Admins can share models to the COMPANY (cabinet) level. This prevents proliferation of firm-wide models and ensures quality control.

Reusing Models Across Clients

You have two options for reusing a model from another client or the library:

Option 1: Share to Firm (Cabinet)

Best for standard models that should work identically across all clients.

How to share:

  1. Open the model you want to share
  2. Click the Share button
  3. Select Company visibility
  4. The model is now available to everyone in your firm

When to use:

  • Standard invoice extraction models
  • Common contract templates
  • Firm-wide analysis models

Advantage: Single source of truth — updates apply everywhere.

Option 2: Create a Copy

Best when you need a starting point but expect client-specific adjustments.

How to copy:

  1. Find the model in the Library
  2. Click Duplicate (or access via the model menu)
  3. The copy is created as PRIVATE, associated with your current client
  4. Customize the copy as needed

When to use:

  • Model needs client-specific fields
  • Different document formats require adjustments
  • Testing modifications before rolling out

Advantage: Independence — changes don't affect the original or other users.

When to Share vs. Copy

Testing a new model before firm-wide rolloutKeep PRIVATE, test, then share

Managing Your Models

Finding models

Use the search and filter options:

  • Search by name — Find models by typing part of the name
  • Filter by type — Show only extraction or analysis models
  • Filter by visibility — Show only certain visibility levels

Best practices

  1. Use descriptive names — "Client ABC - Invoice Extraction" is better than "Invoice Model"
  2. Add descriptions — Explain what the model is for and any special considerations
  3. Version through copies — When making major changes, consider copying first
  4. Clean up unused models — Archive or delete models no longer needed
  5. Test before sharing — Verify model accuracy before making it firm-wide

Model Categories

Organize models using categories (if enabled for your firm):

  • Group related models together
  • Make discovery easier for your team
  • Maintain a clean library structure

Contact your Admin to set up categories for your firm.
