Missing docs after SharePoint sync

Not seeing files in your Workspace after SharePoint sync? Here are the most common causes.

1) Confirm the right folder is connected

SharePoint sync is configured per project.

  1. Open the client and project
  2. Edit the project settings
  3. Verify the SharePoint site and Workspace folder are correct

If you changed the folder recently, give Moby a few minutes to catch up.

2) Check permissions

If you can’t browse folders or you see a permissions error:

3) Make sure the file is inside the synced folder

Only files inside the selected SharePoint folder (and its subfolders) will appear in Workspace.

4) Make sure the file type is supported

If the file type isn’t supported, it may be skipped.

5) Ignore system / temporary files

Files starting with . or ~ are often ignored:

  • .DS_Store
  • ~$document.xlsx

If you're using Collection sync (currently hidden)

Collection sync is currently hidden in the UI. If you have an existing project using it, note:

  • Collection sync is limited to 1,000 documents per project
  • Additional documents beyond 1,000 may be skipped
